For Parents

We’re excited to have your student join us this summer for an  adventure with RMR Backcountry. We know this is a great family undertaking that comes with a lot of questions.

Here is a link to an explanation of all the different aspects of RMR.

If at any time you need to contact our offices directly, don’t hesitate to email us at

RMR Backcountry is a Young Life adventure camp that is licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services. The license indicates that the program has met the required standards for operation of a child care facility. If you wish to do so, you may ask to see the license and the last facility inspection.
As a licensed camp, RMR makes every effort to provide a safe and healthy environment for adolescents. As part of the licensing provisions, Colorado Law requires that child care providers report all known or suspected cases of child abuse or neglect. If you believe that your child has been abused you should seek immediate assistance from your county department of social services. The telephone number in Grand County, Colorado is 970-725-3331.
For additional information regarding licensing, or if you have concerns about a child care facility, or you would like to review a licensed facilities file please consult the Colorado Division of Child Care at 1575 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203-1714 or at 303-866-5958.

Young Life’s desire is to make every effort to cooperate with the State of Colorado to ensure that your camper has a great week at RMR Backcountry. Should you have any questions about the Young Life program, please call our office at 970-726-6690.
